Contribute for…
Every good ‘blank’ deserves fudge, and Birmingham Review is looking for contributors who want to a place to develop.
You want to start working. We want to publish fine quality content, fresh & innovative approaches, and to nurture editorial ideas and delivery. The backbone of this is incentive.
Birmingham Review operates a 3 tier endorsement policy, which breaks down into the following:
TIER 1 / FOR THE LOVE…
A personal desire to get out there and contribute – where many, if not nearly all of us, start. So if you’re itching to get published, and have a ferocious desire to see a good story with you’re name above it, this is step 1. No cold hard cash but 99% of the briefs will be event reviews – so you get a night out with your name on the door.
TIER 2 / FOR THE FAME…
Not really fame but your name in lights. Well, print. Once we’re confident about working with you our editor will begin to set specific stories and briefs – honing your skills, developing your portfolio and building your connections in a specific area. Still no fee, but the next for contributors serious about building a professional body of work.
TIER 3 / FOR THE MONEY…
Where you should be heading. If you’ve come through TIER 1, blossomed in TIER 2, then it’s time to get you paid up. Our editor will set you a standard contribution fee and look for a clear editorial focus, something you can sink your teeth into and build a representative portfolio through Birmingham Review. One of us, one of us, one of us…
